Sam Worthington Online – Indefinite Hiatus

Posted by Anne in Mar 09,2015 with No Comments

This is a hard decision to my: Sam Worthington Online is going on an indefinite hiatus. Things are not good in my personal life now and I really need some time to focus on my life, work, family….so, I am not going to update the site for some time, I really don’t know when I will be here again but I hope soon.

Anyway, if I find some time, maybe I will upload some pics that I got to the gallery but without update the news.

Thanks to everyone for understanding. Every comment or opinion will be appreciated.

Sam Worthington learnt courage from his mother Jeanne’s battle with ovarian cancer

Posted by Anne in Apr 10,2014 with No Comments

SAM Worthington has opened up about his own mother Jeanne’s battle with ovarian cancer in a bid to raise further awareness about the disease.

“In Australia, one woman dies from ovarian cancer every 10 hours. Mum’s cancer battle struck at the heart of life and death for me. She said, ‘I’m not going to let this disease control how I live’,” Worthington told GQ, in an edition which goes on sale on Monday.

“I might not have agreed with the way Mum chose to handle her treatment at the time but, she taught me that the best way to help her was to stop being all ‘woe is me’, so we did, and everyone in our family got stronger by staying positive together,” he said.

The extremely private 37-year-old star has rarely spoken before about his family life or mother’s illness. She recovered from the disease but to this day, it has affected Worthington enormously.

“When I was young my parents were these titanic, infallible figures. But Mum’s illness, and Dad’s battles with diabetes and heart attacks had a ripple effect on me — reminding me of my own mortality and that these illnesses are genetic. Self-awareness and early detection are key [to finding ovarian cancer], so that’s what we’re encouraging with White Shirt Day: don’t think twice, support the campaign on May 1,” Worthington said.

The actor is one of a group of male stars supporting the white shirt campaign, with others including David Wenham and Don Hany also appearing in a GQ fashion shoot based on the White Shirt Campaign.

The campaign supports the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) with 100 per cent of the gross proceeds from the sale of the Witchery white shirts donated directly to the foundation. [Source]

Sam Worthington Online became paparazzi-free

Posted by Anne in Mar 12,2014 with No Comments

In March 2011 Sam Worthington Online became paparazzi-free.The decision to become paparazzi-free came after much consideration. I was uploading candids photos of Sam Worthington until an incident that Sam had with a paparazzi. I know that some people find it fun and amusing to see Sam walking up and down the streets and as an ordinary person, but as fans, we must learn to respect Sam’s personal feelings about that. Let’s remember that we should draw lines between what’s Sam’s public life and what is his private life.

We respect Sam and his views on this subject and as a result this site will focus on Sam’s career. On set images, filming images, television coverage and behind the scenes of his projects can be found on this fansite. We are proud to be a paparazzi and gossip free site and we hope that all of you will continue to support this decision.

Note: I am still trying to decide what to do with the old candids in the gallery. Maybe, I am going to leave them online.
